Make a Difference
Your donation to the Galvin Family Trust will be used to provide items and experiences to improve the lives of Donald, Matthew, and Peter to include winter coats, a hockey game or symphony performance, or a fishing trip to the mountains. Those affected by schizophrenia and anosognosia are traumatized by the very mental health system meant to help them. They are deserted by their families of origin and sit in sub-standard nursing homes with no outside access, isolated from those they love. As the mental health systems turn their attention to early intervention and “recovery”, our brothers, in their later years, need friendship and care. Just a simple visit to get a hamburger or to go on a birdwatching drive gives them such much needed solace.
